I work in our Philanthropy team, building partnerships with philanthropists and demonstrating the positive difference their support can make for children.

There’s no question that 2020 has been a challenging year. As a result of Covid-19, more children in the UK and around the world are living in poverty, going hungry and are unable to learn. That’s why this year, it’s more important than ever before that our partners help us to raise vital funds and awareness for our 9th annual Christmas Jumper Day.

What’s more, we’re aiming to create our most sustainable Christmas Jumper Day yet, encouraging everyone to get crafty and creative to upcycle an old jumper or head to a charity shop for a second-hand vintage bargain rather than buying anything new.

As the big day approaches, we’re thrilled to be working with a variety of wonderful businesses and brands. Below are some snapshots of how each partner is doing their bit to help us raise funds for the most marginalised children here in the UK and around the world. All money raised will help change children’s lives, helping them grow up healthy and safe, and get an education so they can be who they want to be. All of our partners are helping us bring essentials like healthcare, education, protection and food to the millions of children who are missing out on the most basic support. This year, money raised will also be helping families impacted by Covid-19 in the UK and all around the world.

Jacob’s

As headline partner for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day this year, Jacob’s will refashion its bestselling Christmas Caddies with a festive makeover. The 2020 line-up includes Caddies from Mini Cheddars and Twiglets, as well as Cracker Crisps Sour Cream & Chives and Cheeselets – which has been temporarily renamed Treeselets as a nod to the snack’s festive new shape.

Each of the four products will be dressed up in Christmas jumper-style packaging to match the festive knits that will be sweeping the nation on Christmas Jumper Day.  Jacob’s will be donating £100,000 to Save the Children, to help the most vulnerable children in the UK and around the world to stay safe, healthy and learning, and change the future for good.

Once you’ve finished snacking on your tasty treats, why not re-purpose your Caddy into a Christmas decoration or wreath to continue the festive fun.

Peppa Pig

Another partner celebrating Christmas Jumper Day this year is children’s favourite Peppa Pig! The Entertainer is selling an exclusive, limited edition toy set of the Peppa Pig family - with each member wearing their own Christmas jumper! The set retails at £9.99 and for each one sold, 50p will be donated to Save the Children, to help children around the world this Christmas.

Ladybird is also teaming up with Save the Children and Peppa Pig to support Christmas Jumper Day.  For a second year running, Peppa’s Christmas Jumper Day will be available from all good book stockists, retailing at £4.99 with a 10% donation from the sale of each book being given to Save the Children.

Westfield

Our long-standing partner Westfield has also launched the UK’s first ever Christmas rental store. Curated by celebrity presenter and Christmas lover Laura Whitmore, the store stocks everything you need for the festive season. All proceeds from the store will support our work to ensure all children stay safe, healthy and learning no matter where they’re from and the rental store will also be stocking (get it!) silly seasonal knits to rent for Christmas Jumper Day – helping us to make the world better with a sweater.

Their giant mascot, Colin the Panda, will also be showcasing his homemade Christmas Jumper in various locations around London, raising funds and awareness for Save the Children.

GSK

GSK will be hosting their annual ‘Making the world Better with a Sweater’ campaign virtually this year, with all employees encouraged to wear their most fabulous festive knit or the ugliest sweater they can find – to support Save the Children’s vital work.

Castle Water

This year, Castle Water employees will be wearing their silliest Christmas jumpers for a serious cause. As well as a competition for the best Christmas jumper and festive team challenges, Castle Water have set their team a Bake Off challenge to create their very own Showstopper with the theme 'Christmas Movies', and they need your help to judge the winner! You can vote for your favourite showstopper by heading to @CastleWaterOfficial Instagram stories on Christmas Jumper Day. Voting will open at 11am and close at 3pm.

Collinson

Collinson are hosting a week of giving across the company, where Christmas Jumper Day is one of the main activities. They will be running several competitions across the week to offer employees a variety of ways to get involved and raise money for Save the Children.

The Outnet

Stylish jumper wearing will be encouraged over at our partners, The Outnet, who are taking part for the first time this year following our recent collaboration with Save the Children Ambassador Laura Bailey.

Clifford Chance

Employees at Clifford Chance are also taking part in Christmas Jumper Day this year by wearing their best Christmas jumpers and donating £2 Save the Children.

Thank you to all our incredible partners for helping make it the biggest, most jingly and joyful Christmas Jumper Day ever. Together, we are supporting some of the world’s most vulnerable children in the UK and across the globe and we look forward to collaborating again in 2021!
