Creative Play

Keeping kids entertained during lockdown

Welcome to the most fun part of the den, full of ideas to help children get creative and fire up their imagination while they’re at home.

It’s been made hand in hand with our early learning experts, who have used their knowledge of what works for children at different ages and stages. We're hoping this means there’s something for everyone, but if you have a suggestion for an activity or a game we should be playing, let us know!

Where do you want to go?

Reading

When you can’t go out, books are a great escape.

We asked kids to tell us why they love reading so much, and we’d love you to do the same.

In this part of the den, you can share your favourite characters, and read incredible stories based on real children we’ve met around the world.

Why do you love reading?

Making

Getting creative is a great way to fill the hours when going outside isn’t an option. From building dens to making pom poms, keeping busy doing something fun is the best way to fill the time.

Den Building!

How will you build yours?

Will you use some sheets and upturned chairs? Maybe a clothes line and blankets can create the perfect pitch. Fairy lights? Cushions?

So many options...so much time!

No den is too big or small...
