Our work with Scouts

We're helping Scouts to support refugees through A Million Hands

Scouts want to improve the lives of refugees and displaced children. We’re helping make this possible.

We are so excited to be partnering with the Scouts through A Million Hands.

A Million Hands is the Scouts' community impact programme. It empowers young people in Scouts to make a difference in their communities.

Young people in Scouts chose to work with Save the Children on supporting refugees and displaced children.

GET INVOLVED

Whether you're a Squirrel or an Explorer, your group can support refugees and displaced children with our activities.

Through taking part in our activities, Scouts of all ages can learn how to:

  • raise awareness of the issues that refugees and displaced children face
  • combat stereotypes and think critically about stories in the media
  • welcome refugees in their own communities
  • build connections with Scouts living in conflict-affected areas
Comedian and Save the Children Ambassador Dom Joly meets Valentyna, 12 years old and her brother Konstantin, 6 years old, at the Community Center in their home town.
