We’re committed to making sure our income is used efficiently, effectively, and responsibly so that every pound counts. In 2023, 87% of our income went towards charitable activities. These include running our programmes in the UK and internationally, advocacy and awareness campaigns, and associated support costs.

Gift Aid is an arrangement that allows charities to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer, which means your donations will be worth 25% more to us at no extra cost to you!
Meaning an additional £12.50 could be added to a £50 donation!
It can only be claimed when the donor is a UK taxpayer and is donating from their own funds. If the donor pays less Income Tax and/ or Capital Gains Tax in that tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all their donations; it will be their responsibility to pay the difference.

7-month-old Priscilla, with her mother Evelyn, recovering from severe pneumonia at the paediatric ward of Naguru General Hospital in Kampala, Uganda.
At just 7 months old, Priscilla’s life hung in the balance as she battled severe pneumonia leaving her almost unconscious, extremely weak, and struggling to breastfeed. Worried mum, Evelyn felt so bad seeing her daughter in that condition and rushed Priscilla to the hospital, leaving her other children in the care of their father.
At the hospital where Save the Children supplies life-saving equipment and training programs, Priscilla was given a standard dose of antibiotics and some intravenous fluids and by the third day her condition started to show signs of improvement and she was much happier, with renewed playfulness, energy and laughter.
