WASH

Training Programme

Enabling country and regional staff to design and deliver high quality water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programming in complex, large-scale humanitarian contexts.

Save the Children's WASH training is based on a package of modules, and can be adapted based on participant’s needs and the context within which they are working. This training programme serves as a space for experience sharing across countries, aimed at ensuring a higher degree of preparedness, and the design and implementation of high quality humanitarian WASH programmes.

Participants are required to think about how they will achieve quality at all levels of a WASH or WASH-integrated response through face-to-face learning, discussions and practical exercises.

Who is it aimed at?

Using our package of modules, we design and deliver training aimed at a range of groups. Participants can either be groups working directly in the WASH sector, or those working in any technical sector which may have WASH components integrated within their programmes.

Training usually last from between 3 to 5 days, and includes a range of practical elements, including broader emergency response elements.

Groups from outside of Save the Children, including other NGOs, CSOs, local and national government, and public sector institutions are welcome to reach out.
