If you're planning a fundraiser and need inspiration or want to raise money but you're not sure how to go about it, check out our list of fundraising ideas for some great ways to raise money.
Bake Sale - Throw on your aprons and get baking to help change lives. You could hold this at work, school or home and go sweet, savoury or both!
Christmas Jumper Day - One of our biggest annual school fundraising events! Get your classmates sparkled up and celebrate Christmas Jumper Day.
Name the... - Get your pupils to guess the name of a teddy or gather everyone's baby photos together and ask them to guess who each baby is - for a small donation of course!
Sports Day - Include a parent and child challenge in your annual sports day and ask the parents to donate to enter.
More Inspiration
Non-Uniform Day - Pick a dress up them like 'countries around the world' or ask your pupils to donate £1 for a non-uniform day. If you're fundraising during the festive period, then Christmas Jumper Day is a must!
Sponsored Silence - Get your pupils involved in a sponsored hour (or more!) of silence - the perfect way to deal with chatterboxes!
Swimathon - Challenge your students to swim a certain number of lengths as a relay team within a certain time. They can ask their friends and family for sponsorship.
Talent Show - Hold a talent show and get your pupils to showcase their skills - ask their parents to come along and make a donation.
Turn £5 into £100 - Give groups of five children £5 and challenge them to turn your £5 investment into £100. Everything they raise over and above the £5 can be donated to Save the Children.

Our campaigning calls to action are ideal for Geography, History, Philosophy & Ethics and Citizenship lessons, as well as assemblies and off-timetable days.
Harnessing students' voices to call for change on the climate crisis and Afghan children's education, among other issues, can promote critical thinking, teamwork, public speaking, empathy and leadership skills.

how to get involved
To recognise your students in this Save the Children initiative, your school commits to organising three fundraising activities and one campaigning activity across the academic year, with a fundraising pledge of £600.
How we helped Harriet*
"When a girl child is given a chance, she can do what a boy child can do,” says 14-year-old Harriet. In a refugee settlement in Uganda this confident, smiling student is showing just what girls are capable of.
When Harriet’s family were forced to flee South Sudan, she was afraid she would never get back to school. But then she joined our Accelerated Learning Programme for child refugees – and her learning took off.
Now, Harriet’s caught up on the education she missed, and is doing brilliantly at school. She’s even been chosen as Head Girl by the other pupils. This top student is determined to become a lawyer, and make life better for people in South Sudan. “I’m going to change the world!” she says.
