Kevin Watkins CEO responds to the UK Government's commitment to aid spending 

 

 

Save the Children, 4th September 

We welcome the Government’s continued commitment to spend 0.7% of national income on UK aid at today’s Spending Review. This is a compassionate, outward looking nation and we can all be proud of this Government’s promise. UK aid is vital to helping transform children’s futures through their health, education and nutrition. We would like to see more of that aid delivered through DFID, whose expertise make this country a world leader in delivering support that helps leaves no child behind.
