Give through your Donor Advised Funds
Children around the world are facing growing challenges, from conflict and hunger to climate shocks and disease. Through your philanthropy, you can help make sure children are protected, healthy and able to learn, no matter where they live.
If you hold a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), you can recommend a grant to Save the Children UK and help support children when and where they need it most.
Giving through a DAF is a simple and flexible way to make charitable gifts while planning your philanthropy over time. Whether you wish to support our work in emergencies or invest in lasting change for children, we would be delighted to work with you.
Giving through a DAF?
When recommending your grant, please consider sharing your contact details with Save the Children.
This allows us to thank you personally and keep you updated on the difference your support is making for children around the world.
What is a Donor Advised Fund?
A Donor Advised Fund is a charitable giving account that allows donors to make contributions, receive any appliable tax benefits and recommend grants to charities over time. DAFs are becoming an increasingly popular way for individuals and families to plan and manage their giving.
Many donors use DAFs as part of a wider philanthropic strategy, alongside direct giving, corporate giving, family foundations or legacy gifts.

Supporting children where the need is greatest
Many donors choose to make unrestricted gifts, allowing Save the Children to direct funding to where it can have the greatest impact.
An unrestricted grant helps us:
- Respond rapidly when emergencies strike
- Reach children in some of the world’s most challenging places
- Invest in long-term solutions that help children survive, learn and be protected
- Adapt quickly as children’s needs change
If you would like to discuss supporting a specific programme, country or area of work, we would be delighted to speak with you.

Why give through your DAF to Save the Children?
For more than 100 years, Save the Children has worked alongside communities to help children survive, learn and thrive.
Your support can help:
- Protect children affected by conflict and displacement
- Provide healthcare and nutrition to children at risk
- Support children to access quality education
- Strengthen families and communities to build a better future
When crisis strikes, DAF donors can play a particularly important role. Because funds have already been set aside for charitable giving, grants can often be made quickly to support urgent responses.
