Pauline Cafferkey readmitted to hospital

Friday, 9 October 2015

Pauline Cafferkey, the NHS nurse who contracted Ebola while working in Sierra Leone, has been readmitted to the Royal Free Hospital in London.

Justin Forsyth, CEO of Save the Children said:

"The thoughts and good wishes of everyone at Save the Children are with Pauline Cafferkey. We are reassured knowing that she is in expert hands with the team at the Royal Free hospital.

Pauline’s professional dedication was publically recognised recently when she was given a Pride of Britain award for her work in the fight against Ebola in Sierra Leone, which she volunteered for despite risks to her own safety. Staff at Save the Children wish her a full and speedy recovery.”
