ONE RUNNING MOVEMENT
One Running Movement is on a mission to encourage #MoveForLife in order to improve general health and create a sense of wellbeing whilst building mental health, strengthening resilience and improving overall confidence through running.
- Age 4 to 12 Schools Running Movement
- All other ages from 13+ One Running Movement
The movement offers a series of cumulative Half Marathon and Marathon running events to encourage everyone to get moving and active as part of the daily routine, whilst getting outdoors more, building confidence through movement and reducing screen time.
Half Marathon and Marathon: You can run your miles in your own time, then join the organisers at a live event across the country nationwide to run your last 1.1 mile for Half Marathon or 1.2 mile for Marathon. This will take place at a large venue or outdoor running track event. And if you don’t want to attend a live event then you can run your cumulative Marathon or Half Marathon in your own time all virtually.
You can enter as a school entry or through direct entry on the One Running Movement website.

How we helped Faisal*
Five-year-old Faisal wishes he could fly. He likes to pretend he’s a superhero, and jump from the furniture.
The boys build forts, play with toys and run races. “I let Faisal win, because when he’s happy I am happy as well,” Bilal says.
They play with their favourite teddy, too – a bear that Bilal loves because it travelled from Syria with him.
- £12 could provide an early years book for a child like Faisal attending pre-school in a refugee camp
- £100 could buy interactive games for refugee children like Faisal and his friends to play and learn together.
