Cryptocurrency donations

Your cryptocurrency donations will support our mission to keep children healthy, educated and safe in times of crises.

All cryptocurrency donations will go to our Emergency Fund which not only enables us to respond immediately when a disaster strikes, it also allows us to respond to the countless ongoing crises around the world that don't hit the headlines.

By choosing to donate via cryptocurrency, your donation will be directed to Save the Children US, who owns the crypto wallet. Your donation will then go to our global Emergency Fund.

In the UK, we have seen an increase in enquiries about donating through cryptocurrency, demonstrating a demand for giving through this channel.

Save the Children is part of a global Save the Children Movement and Save the Children US has been accepting cryptocurrency since 2013. See their cryptocurrency donation webpage for more information.

Save the Children UK does not directly accept cryptocurrency donations. By choosing to donate via cryptocurrency, your donation will go to Save the Children US and then directed to our global Emergency Fund. 

Giving via cryptocurrency on our UK website will take you to Save the Children US’s crypto wallet and donation page, which is powered by Gemini and The Giving Block, respectively. All funds minus nominal processing fees will go directly to Save the Children US and then to our global Emergency Fund.

Unfortunately, we cannot claim Gift Aid on crypto donations at this time. All donations will go directly to Save the Children US. 

Yes, you will receive a donation receipt on behalf of Save the Children US if you provide your email address during the gifting process. Save the Children US will have full discretion and oversight over these cryptocurrency donations.
