I became a volunteer for Save the Children in 1984, starting off as Schools Liaison Officer (being the member of the committee at that time nearest to school age!) I became chairman in 1993. In the late 90’s I took on the treasurer’s role in addition to being the chairman until Neville came to the rescue in 2000. We like to offer a good time so our supporters enjoy helping us by spending their money.
