Supporter of the month

Here in our supporter care team we’re privileged to hear first hand about all the wonderful things our supporters do to fundraise for us. Each month we choose a supporter who has really inspired us to be our Supporter of the Month. For June we have two stories we would like to share.

William was so inspired by our TV advert that to celebrate his eighth birthday he organised a sponsored climb to the top of Scafell Pike with his parents and grandparents. Despite the strong wind and heavy rain, he completed the walk in 6 hours and raised £540!

Our second story is of a group from King Henry VIII school in Abergavenny, South Wales. They decided to do a 15 mile walk in fancy dress to raise money to support our South Sudan appeal. In total they managed to raise an amazing £1851.54!

These are just two examples of the many people who fundraise for us each month. Thank you so much to everyone who supports us, from having a cake sale to doing a bungee jump, our work depends on you!
