Dettol: Household favourite on a mission for health

Supporters looking for a quick and easy way to support Save the Children should check out Dettol’s Mission for Health facebook page http://www.facebook.com/missionforhealth

Dettol will donate 20p to us every time someone ‘likes’ the page and therefore lends their support to the company’s global Mission for Health campaign, which is helping to fund our work to end UK child poverty.

Our target is £20,000 so please get clicking and help us do all we can to make sure no child in this country is born without a chance to reach their full potential.

The money will go towards our forthcoming Eat, Sleep, Learn, Play! programme, which will work with health visitors to provide grants to low-income families who have had a baby in the last 12 months. The grants will be to help to fund spedicific items – cookers, children’s beds, books and educational toys – to help promote a healthier living environment for the 100,000 babies born into severe poverty in the UK each year.

It’s a shocking fact that 1.6 million children are currently living in severe poverty in the UK, so please ‘like’ the Dettol Mission for Health page mentioned above and help us help them.

Being a global campaign, Dettol’s Mission for Health is also helping us with a separate donation towards our work responding to emergencies.

The funds provided will allow us to distribute disaster relief items and safeguard the health of children in the crucial first hours following an emergency.

Dettol’s Mission for Health is a global health and hygiene awareness raising campaign. To learn more, including tips on how to promote a healthier home environment, go here www.dettol.co.uk/mission.
