Looking back on the HQ part of my internship

I recently had the last official day of my 6 months at Save the Children’s London HQ as part of the Logistics Skills Development Programme Level 1. I can’t believe the time has gone so quickly. I have learned so much and enjoyed my time greatly. I particularly enjoyed sitting in on the emergency response meetings for the Haiti Earthquake, which showed me the processes that HQ undertake during an emergency response. I really appreciated the opportunity to participate in the emergency operations programme and had a great time on the Advanced Field Training Course. I depart tomorrow for my six months field placement in South Sudan – I’m really looking forward to it.
