HAITI: My heart hasn’t beaten that loudly in years

We had a terrifying wake-up call by earthquake yesterday.  My heart hasn’t beaten that loudly in years.  It makes you realise why half our staff are unwilling to go upstairs, and why children are still petrified at the sound of loud noises.

Haitians experienced a shake probably 5 – 10 times as long, and lost friends or family, so imagine how much more terrified they feel?
