World Health Day 2009
This year World Health Day is highlighting the importance of investing in health infrastructure that can withstand hazards and serve people in immediate need, and encouraging health facilities to implement systems to respond to internal emergencies.
Every day more than 25,000 young children die. Most of these deaths are preventable. We save children’s lives through our heathcare programmes and our campaign work.
Take a look at Save the Children’s blogs, written by staff around the world, and gain an insight into our work in health and HIV and AIDS.
And see the latest news from Kroo Bay, where Save the Children’s recently opened a new clinic.
