What an experience..

Have now been back home just over a week and still finding it hard to adjust back to ‘normal’.  Miss being surrounded by 61 other people and believe it or not I miss the chicken and rice!!  My local Indian restaurant has done a fine trade this last week!!

It is very difficult to put into words what we shared other than to say it was a truly lifetime’s experience.  My whole trip was one of experiencing new things, from seeing the work achieved by the first Global Trek in the slum areas of Kolkata, getting caught up in the Cyclone (not something I am looking to repeat too soon!), seeing the beautiful Taj Mahal, the sights and smells of Dehli and suffering the effects of altitude! But for me the highlight has to be working at the projects for the final 2 days in Leh, playing with the children, leaving them with our wonderful artwork (!), it was so, so fulfilling and the reason I went up and down a mountain!

Ask me to do it all again and the answer is a definite yes, no hesitation.

I am now arranging to jump out of a plane so if anyone still wants to sponsor me please go to my Justgiving page www.justgiving.com/stephanieb.
