“We are not lazy or work shy and I would hate people to think that we don’t want to work.

I can’t work as I’m a full time carer for my young son. My partner suffered a serious injury, but he is doing everything he can to get back into employment.

My partner was injured 3 years ago in a work-related accident, He dislocated his shoulder and damaged the nerves in his hand – he will probably never use the hand again. The problems have been made worse by various medical errors. He’s now waiting for an operation which he hopes will improve his flexibility, but because of his injury he will never be able to go back to his old job again.”
