Watching videos when it’s raining outside…

It has now been a couple of weeks since I helped out with the Global Children’s Panel for Save the Children and I caught up with what they have been up to by looking at their charter on youtube and think it is amazing! They are all so thoughtful and insightful. I was thinking back to when I was their age and am massively impressed with them. I really hope that they had a fun week and feel they had all their questions answered.

I love looking at the Save the Children clips on you tube. When you are fundraising it’s quite easy to feel removed from what you are actually doing, especially working in head office. By watching the videos and by looking up individual stories you understand that every child that we are looking after has a name and a story. They are real children, not just one of faceless millions. There are lots of children who are sick really far away leading completely different lives to us, but by seeing them on videos or by seeing their photos you realise how close they really are and how real they are. My favourite Save the Children video really shows me how simple it is to save a life. I find it important to remember that when I am fundraising.
