Thunderstorms in Juba cleared the air

I had a good follow-up session this morning on Save the Children’s Unified Presence-related matters.  We finished our visit with a meeting with the whole office team, and then off to Juba airport for the next leg to Addis Abbaba.

Thunderstorms cleared the air but thankfully didn’t hold up the flight. That evening we met up with members of the regional and country office and spent some time talking about finance related issues, and specifically how to address the movement in the exchange rates at county level. This links in with work we are doing in London to consider the risks and solutions – we are looking to implement a more robust process later in the year.

We also met up with Heather Francis who is now settled in Addis as the regional finance manager. She is thriving!
