Only 12 days to go to the RB Global Challenge!

After months and months of planning, it’s only 12 days until the Reckitt Benckiser Global Challenge officially starts.  After emailing the trekkers on a regular basis and hearing how they are doing with their training and fundraising, I cannot wait to meet them all in Delhi in just a few days time!

What’s the Global Challenge you ask? RB’s Global Challenge is a bi-annual event where Reckitt Benckiser employees have the opportunity to have a once in a lifetime experience and contribute to very a worthy cause at the same time.

To date our challenge to our staff has been to raise a significant sum of money for Save the Children and trek through the Himalayas. This year we’ll climb to 4,495m and walk for five days. Ouch. But worth it – so far we’ve raised just over £200,000 and this amount is increasing daily.

Over 500 staff from around the world applied to take part and we used a lottery system (ensuring geographic fairness) to pick out the lucky group. As long as they meet the fundraising target RB funds their flights and basic costs and their time off work.
