It’s all go!

It’s Save the Children Week so it’s really all busy busy busy in head office. We’re having a Strictly Come Dancing event (Strictly Save Them) evening on Thursday night and there was a Mad Hatters Tea Party on Tuesday!

We had a busy weekend at the London Marathon too – it was so hot! I felt really sorry for all the runners but it was a beautiful day for the supporters! I still have a bit of a pink nose from the sun. There was a great team spirit. London is great in the sunshine on days like that – everyone was being really friendly and fun. It was also good to be out and about fundraising and meeting people, not just stuck in an office all day e-mailing people! All Save the Children volunteers are awesome – they put in so much time. I hope they realise how valued they are. There have been loads of enquiries about running the marathon for Save the Children which is fantastic news. Team Save the Children are great and raise lots of money each year.

I have been busy too looking at our fundraising overseas challenges events. I want to go on all of them myself! There’s a really great one in Mexico where you cycle all around and then have some days on the beach – probably not the best time to go now but luckily it’s not until November!

There’s always so many different types of fun events to get involved in – I am looking forward to a beautiful summer of fundraising for Save the Children.
