Hit a Six or Take a Wicket for Save the Children!

Not been able to get tickets to see the Twenty20 at Lords?

Not to worry! You can now get involved with Save the Children cricket instead!!

Not content with encouraging tennis players to fundraise for Save the Children through the Save the Children Tennis Tournament, we are now looking for cricket teams in London & South East who want to take part in a fundraising cricket tournament.  Taking part is easy.  All teams need to do is sign up to play in matches which volunteers are arranging in and around London.

The minimum donation for a team to take part is £120 and we are also encouraging all players to raise as much money as possible through sponsorship either by setting up a team justgiving page or by using the StCCricket Justgiving page.  Corporate teams might also be able to take advantage of some of the amazing matched giving schemes which are out there.

Every team taking part can really make a difference.  £160 could buy a hairy yak to provide nutritious milk and butter for children in Tibet. £500 could buy solar panel equipment to provide light in a maternity ward in the Democratic Republic of Congo.  £1,500 could provide a motorcycle for a health worker in Angola enabling them to reach 20-30,000 people with vital healthcare.

If you would like to take part in a match arranged by Save the Children volunteers, please let me know.   Alternatively you can hold your own fun fundraising cricket match and raise money to help vulnerable children worldwide while having fun hitting and bowling cricket balls with friends and family.
