“Getting there”

This morning I went on a train with my grandmother to London. I was very excited to finally be going to the Global Youth Panel meetings although I was quite sad to be leaving my family and friends. The train journey went smoothly and it was not long before we had arrived and were given the chance to settle into our rooms and I soon found out I would be sharing with a girl from Bangladesh who spoke no english but I decided to give it a go and together with a little help from a translator we managed to create a friendship and make it through the first night. The next day as a group we discussed accountability and how Save the children should work with young people. I found all of the group discussions really interesting and I cant wait for tomorrow.
