Feeding children on the brink of starvation

For the rest of my stay at Katwa I spoke with some of the children who are benefitting from the programme and got a chance to see the therapeutic feeding programme. For severely malnurished babies with medical complications they are given F75, a life saving source of all the vitamins and minerals needed for survival and development. After a few days on F75 the children move on to F100 and continue in the programme until stable.

Over 1 million people have been displaced since the fighting started in North Kivu and as long as it goes on children will need our help to meet their basic needs.
