Amazing Amida Tennis

I am thrilled to say that the second Save the Children Tennis Tournament hosted by my own tennis club, Amida Hampton, went fantastically well last week.

56 guys and girls from both inside and outside the Club turned up to play.  The weather was sunny by lunchtime and everyone had a relaxed, fun time hitting tennis balls and raising funds. My full report of the event is up on the Save the Children website.

We ran a competitive ladies doubles, a fun mixed doubles and a fun ladies doubles (for the ladies with rusty racquets!). The winners of the competitive event go through to the London & South East Regional Finals of the Save the Children Tennis Cup at Esporta Riverside, Chiswick in September.  If they win that they will have the chance to play in the National Finals at the National Tennis Centre, Roehampton as part of the Save the Children Festival of Tennis.

The Festival of Tennis is new for this year and is going to be an amazing day celebrating tennis and fundraising. I can hardly wait!
