90 years of saving children, together

I’ve been thinking a lot recently, and who would have thought that Save the Children would be 90 years old on the 19th May? It seems incredible to me that Save the Children has been doing just that for this long. Millions of children have survived when they wouldn’t have done, thanks to the achievements of Save the Children. Thanks to the vision of our founder. It really is an inspiring organisation.

But I don’t think that we should ever forget who it is that means that we can continue to achieve so much – our supporters. People like my mum and dad, the lady in Broadstairs who was always having book sales outside her house for Save the Children when I was growing up, my friend who was so impressed with Save the Children’s work in Burma last year that he donated without even being asked. These are the people that make everything possible – and we should never forget to say thank you.

So, as we say Happy Birthday to Save the Children next week – let’s say thank you to Save the Children supporters, all over the world, for making it happen!

And I can’t wait for the 100th birthday party!!!
