Under Milk Wood and some sweet singing

Whew, what an exciting week it has been in the Wales office of Save the Children!

Monday evening was our Cardiff Fundraising Branch’s film night and they raised over £2,000.  It was a fun evening with a distinctive Welsh flavour as guests watched Dylan Thomas‘Under Milk Wood’ and enjoyed music from Caerphilly Ladies’ Choir.  The event was held at an individual’s private home and we are so grateful for their generosity and support of Save the Children.

Wednesday was an exciting day too as representatives from Swansea Fundraising Branch, Women in Wales Committee, and young people from Welsh projects travelled to London to receive Save the Children awards for their valuable work.  The ceremony took place at South Africa House and the Awards were presented by Save the Children’s President, HRH The Princess Royal.  So congratulations to all those that received awards and a big thank you for all your hard work.
