IFR Awards

The annual IFR (International Finance Review) Awards, of which Save the Children has been the beneficiary charity for 27 years, has raised over £30.6 million for our work – providing vital funds to support children to reach their full potential.

Each year more than 1,000 of the world’s most senior investment bankers gather in London, to celebrate capital markets success and take part in a charity fundraiser to support the organisation.

On Monday 25th April 2022, the 2021 IFR Awards Dinner took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel and raised an astonishing and record breaking £1.4 million for children.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and guidance, the 26th annual event format changed from an evening gala dinner to an outdoor afternoon reception and was attended by 90 guests from the finance and banking community.

Our Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, was also in attendance - meeting with guests and sharing a short speech on our work, before presenting the prestigious Bank of the Year trophy to Goldman Sachs. Goldman Sachs generously contributed the largest donation to the fundraising on the night.

The funds raised through this event go to our Flexible Funding which allows Save the Children to direct funds to wherever the need is greatest.

In today’s fast-moving world – where political shifts, conflict and ecological disasters can transform lives in an instant – it’s more important than ever for us to be able to adapt to whatever comes our way. That’s why flexible funding is so important to help us achieve our mission: to make sure every child grows up safe, healthy and able to learn. These crucial funds allow us to keep growing, innovating and helping the world’s most vulnerable children.

Thank you to the IFR community for continuing to support our work and help more children to reach their full potential and go on to shape the future we all share.
