Our programmes in Nepal are designed to support children’s rights and make sure that they are able to survive, learn and live in safety. We work with more than 100 partners across Nepal, including the government, communities organisations and NGOs.
We look for long-term solutions that will benefit children and their families by improving healthcare and education systems, and helping communities prepare for and respond to disasters.
When the huge earthquake struck Nepal in April 2015, it caused widespread devastation. Thousands of people were killed, homes were reduced to rubble, schools and health centres were destroyed.
Through our emergency appeal, we were able to provide shelter, medical care and hygiene kits to keep children safe.
