Adolescent voices on nutrition

We asked adolescents what matters to them on nutrition. Hear their answers.

Improving nutrition among adolescents has the potential to improve the lives and futures of a generation.

And particularly for girls, it can help to break the cycle of malnutrition: well-nourished mothers are far more likely to raise well-nourished children.

But for decades this crucial opportunity has been missed. Progress in tackling malnutrition remains far too slow. Adolescents have been particularly neglected in nutrition policies and funding.

Our new film – Adolescent Voices on Nutrition – puts young people back in the picture. We asked adolescents in Nigeria and Bangladesh:

  • How does malnutrition affect you and other young people?
  • Why are young people malnourished?
  • What needs to change?

Their responses are clear and compelling. Watch to find out.
