About our store
The shop, which was the former home to a bank, was transformed by interior designer Kate Monckton into a derelict picture house, paying homage to local cinematic history (Islington was once home to nearby Gainsborough Studios where Alfred Hitchcock started his career as a film director in the 1920s).
Reclaimed cinematic memorabilia is set against original brickwork, and marble pillars and terrazzo flooring add a luxurious feel.
Heavy red velvet curtains, set lighting, and a row of reclaimed cinema seats allow you to sit in peace and quiet, reading a book or even watching a film.
All profits from sales in store go directly to us to help feed, clothe and educate children in some of the world’s poorest and most dangerous countries.
We have frequent donations and deliveries every day, so it's rthwhile popping by, you never know what treasure you might uncover.
