About our store
In June 2015, the 18th Mary's Living & Giving Shop for Save the Children opened its doors in Hampstead.
Located in an area famous for its intellectual, liberal, artistic, musical and literary associations, the concept for this shop is loosely based around the theme of 'Old School'.
It was designed on a voluntary basis by Delia Covezzi, a Central Saint Martin’s graduate and a Mary’s Living & Giving volunteer.
Delia collected unique pieces from the local area, such as a vintage globe which has been redesigned for Save the Children, wooden benches reminiscent of school lessons, mini-milk bottle lighting on the second floor and a pommel horse.
Teacher-like pigeon-holes house designer accessories and a pre-loved desk has been upcycled to become the cashier till area.
Mary Portas said: “I am thrilled to announce the opening of the newest edition of my Living & Giving shops.
"Hampstead is a fabulous location and the sense of community here is second to none.
"We are looking forward to getting to know our neighbours and opening up this unique space, where locals can get together and shop in an exciting new environment.”
