Mary's Living & Giving Shop

The 17th Mary's Living & Giving Shop for Save the Children opened its doors on Blackheath’s Montpelier Vale in 2015.

Taking inspiration from the heath, Rosie Haine collaborated with the Mary’s Living & Giving team, to create a store design that celebrates the area’s rich history and some of its famous residents.

Hand-drawn portraits of residents, both past and present, are brought to life through watercolour illustrations. Subjects include Jean Cooke, Ignatius Sancho, John Stuart Mill, Fanny Cradock, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowyn, Richard Branson, John Bradley, Emily Davison, Rosie Haire, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Elisabeth Lutyens and Frank Watson Dyson.

Other standout features include an original fireplace that has been restored to its former beauty, and beautiful handmade kites featuring messages of thanks.
