Because children matter.

Children are at the heart of everything we do.  We want to give every child the opportunity to realise their potential – especially those children living on the margins. The ones being deprived of the future they deserve.

With the support of people like you, we continue to believe in a future filled with hope for every child, no matter where they live or their background.

Why Ann is leaving a gift in her will

Ann from Caerphilly has pledged a gift in her will to Save the Children—a charity close to her heart since childhood, thanks to her mum’s involvement. After years of fundraising and volunteering, Ann saw the impact of Save the Children’s work firsthand during a visit to India, which inspired her decision.

It's what you'd want every child to have, a happy childhood. Children don't ask to be born into conflict or poverty, they just arrive there and it is so sad. I’ve included a gift in my Will to Save the Children because I know that it will be used sensibly and that it will help to ensure Save the Children will continue to be there for children. Every child deserves a happy and safe childhood – it’s a comfort to know my gift will help to make that happen.

Her legacy is a promise that even after she’s gone, she’ll continue helping children get the food, clothes, and education they deserve.

You're about to do something incredible.

By choosing to leave a gift in your Will to Save the Children, you're creating a legacy of hope, compassion, and opportunity.  We know this is a big decision—one that speaks volumes about your values and your hope for a better future.

By choosing to support children through a gift in your Will, you're helping to build a world where every child has the chance to grow up safe, healthy, and educated. And for that, we are truly grateful.

Thank you for believing in a future where no child is left behind.
This is a powerful moment—one that Will help transform children's lives for generations to come.

Save the children's History

At the beginning of the 20th century, two sisters had a vision to protect children and their rights.

100 years later, we're still fighting for children - day in, day out.

Success stories from around the world

For 100 years, we have been supporting children.

During that time, we have had some incredible success stories. Success stories that would not exist without you, our supporters.

Brothers Tomás, nine, and Edizon, seven, holding eggs from their farm in Quiche, Guatemala

Our Hunger and malnutrition work

In rural Guatemala, we’re training small farmers in climate-smart agriculture techniques, to help tackle the impact of drought, storms and climate change.

We’ve also paired farmers with local schools, so they get a healthy income, while children like Edizon and Tomás can enjoy nutritious school dinners.

School attendance and grades are up. Malnutrition rates are down.

Sophie, nine, & her brother Gethin, six, in their garden in Cardiff

Our UK work

In Cardiff, we’re helping families like Mary’s rebuild after crisis.

Evicted just weeks after her daughter’s birth, Mary faced months of instability. Our Early Years Grant helped her family settle—providing mattresses, toys, and a sense of home.

“Home, I think is being where my children are... because they’re everything to me. They’re my life, I’d be lost without them,” says Mary.

Now, Mary’s family is more settled. The children sleep soundly, and their new home feels like a place they can grow.

OUR EDUCATion and conflict work

In Northeast Syria, we’re helping children like Suha, Ritaj, Sandi, Waleed, and Rajab rebuild their futures through education.

After years of isolation and loss, the siblings were referred to our learning and safe spaces. Now, they’re back in class, learning, playing, and beginning to heal.

“Before, we were alone. Now we have a place to learn and feel safe" says Rajab*.

Funding from gifts in Wills help us to get out the door quickly, which means quicker and better support for children who need it most.
