How to get a London Marathon charity place with Save the Children
Getting a London Marathon charity entry is one of the most popular ways to guarantee a place at the world's biggest annual fundraising event. Here's how it works.
If you didn't secure a place in the public ballot, you can apply directly for one of our guaranteed charity places. You pay a registration fee of £125 and commit to a £2,800 fundraising pledge. In return, you get a guaranteed race entry, a dedicated support team, and everything listed above under "Why join Team Save."
If you were successful in the 2027 ballot, you can register your own place with us instead - there's no minimum fundraising pledge for ballot runners.
The 2027 public ballot opens in April 2026, following this year's race. If the ballot for 2027 has now closed, a charity place is your best route in.
