What is FUTURE100?
Welcome to Save the Children’s FUTURE100. A powerhouse community of 100 fundraisers. United in solidarity with children everywhere, the FUTURE100 use their unique passions, skills and influence to raise money, build momentum and create lasting change for and with children.
Conflict, the climate emergency and global economic crisis are hitting children hard. FUTURE100 have the will and ability to help children overcome the biggest challenges here in the UK and around the world.
This special community of change-makers is made up of adults, children and organisations – like schools and community groups – who share our belief that every child deserves a fair chance at life. But most importantly it consists of those who are willing to stand up and do something about it.
The world can sometimes feel like a pretty overwhelming place. It takes a special kind of person to get up and do something to help those less fortunate than themselves.

FUTURE100's Impact

Our Founding Members
Gabriel
Gabriel is a Save the Children fundraiser and ambassador, and the Community Captain of FUTURE100.
Gabriel is a young wood carver who created a Bowl for Ukraine in 2022, raising £255,000. Gabriel created the Hope Bowl in 2023 raising £24,000 for the Children's Emergency Fund - an incredible total £279,000!
If you’re a child and you want to raise money, then just do it. Use your passion to help others.
"If you’re into running, or into painting or whatever you’re into, then do what you want to do and try to support others while doing what you love. Because if you give out kindness to the world it will come flooding back. I’ve experienced this first hand and I can say wholeheartedly it’s the truth!"

Queena Tang
Queena has organised and run the annual ‘We Have One World’ children’s charity concert with her partner Samuel and children Katherine and Stephen since 2020, and this year's event marked their 5th fundraising concert. The event has grown year on year and now hosts performances from violinist Sumina Studer as well as a high value auction. Queena has raised an incredible £41,337 to date.
It's truly an honour to be a member of this amazing group and I'm excited to contribute to its success...
"I'm eager to continue contributing to both FUTURE100 and to Save the Children. Your ongoing support means the world to me and the team, and we're grateful for the opportunity to collaborate for such a worthy cause."

Jo Stevens
Jo has been supporting Save the Children for 48 years independently and as a volunteer as part of the Street & District Branch. In that time, Jo has also provided additional support to the Community Fundraising team. In 2015, Jo did the Coast 2 Coast for Kathmandu challenge (raising £1,381), and in 2020 Jo did a marathon in the garden (raising £2,601) - a total of £3,255, plus much more raised during her time as a Street & District Branch volunteer.
As a founding member of the FUTURE100, Jo brings a wealth of fundraising experience. As a supporter of Save the Children for almost half a century, she is on hand to help any members with fundraising ideas and inspiration.
I’ve got time and energy to help raise money for the charity and hopefully inspire others to do the same. It pains me to see children struggling, if I can help in any small way, I will.

Salwa & Sienna Bowen
Salwa is the parent of Sienna (now 13) who ran 1,000 miles for children affected by war over two year 2021-2023. In August 2024, Salwa and Sienna launched 'My Little Heart to Yours' as a global challenge inviting other children to join her by running, walking, cycling, swimming or hiking 24,900 miles – the equivalent of a lap around the world. Salwa and Sienna have raised £7,077 to date.
Sienna & I would love to part of Save the Children’s FUTURE100. Thank you so much for thinking of us and having us on board this fundraising journey.

Daniel Meyer, St Bartholomew's Primary School
Daniel has been a key part of children-led fundraising as Head of St Bartholomew’s Primary School, including a sleep out for Gaza organised by pupil Amaya, and football activity organised by two other students. The fundraisers have raised just under £8,000 to date. Daniel says:
The idea of change-makers really resonates with me and aligns well with our focus at the school on courageous advocacy and developing our children to be stewards of the planet.
"I like the optimistic and positive tone of FUTURE100 and think it’s a great idea!"

Charlie Caminada
Charlie's passion for skydiving led him to raise over £12,000 for Save the Children. Sadly Charlie passed away in 2024, but his incredible fundraising helped shape what the FUTURE100 would become today.

Meet our FUTURE100 members
Aev
From 4th - 5th of July 2024, Aev (16 at the time) drummed for 24-hours in her school hall to raise money for the Gaza Emergency Appeal. Aev's drumathon raised £7,630.
She had no sleep during this challenge and only took 5-minute breaks each hour. She was inspired to take up the challenge after seeing BBC weatherman, Owain Wyn Evans, do a similar undertaking for Children in Need.
I really enjoy drumming and I wanted to incorporate something that I absolutely love with something that actually makes a difference

Alastair Orr Ewing
Alastair is the owner of Dunskey Castle. He donated money from his Christmas gifts in 2023 and 2024, and has raised some funds via customers at Dunskey Castle. He also donated money from his 60th birthday last November!
Alastair has raised £9,050 to date and says
It is my honour and pleasure to support Save the Children and the very least I can do.

I'd be delighted and honored to join the Future 100 team. Thank you for considering me to become part of this team. I hope to continue to raise more funds for you guys in the future by running around in circles for a few hours as I do.

Thank you for inviting me to be part of this wonderful initiative — the FUTURE100. I'm really excited about it!

Phoebe Lake
Phoebe first started supporting Save the Children with a half marathon fundraiser in 2023, raising £110. She went on to run the Edinburgh Marathon in 2025 raising £2,030, and is now running the London Marathon 2026!
Since supporting Save the Children, I've felt empowered to make a lasting difference for children around the world, whose wellbeing will shape the future prosperity of this planet.
"Being a member of the FUTURE100 has bought me closer to understanding the issues facing children, this knowledge has made me realise that we in the UK can be part of the solution and that’s why I continue to fundraise. If you are passionate about making lasting change and want to see what amazing things that can be done…then this is the place to be."

Heavy Metal Truants
Heavy Metal Truants are a community of music fans, industry professionals and metalheads who raise money for Save the Children by completing an annual 3-day cycle from London to Download Festival (Leicester). They have raised an incredible £206,302 for Save the Children. The Truants Foundation also raised £149,260.92 in 2025!
There's no doubt that the work Save the Children does was a big reason for why we were able to so confidently conquer those hills!

James Russell
James took part in the Human Race Season Finale triathlon in September 2023 and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in July 2024, raising £2,669. James would like to climb Mont Blanc in 2026.
FUTURE100 sounds really good - count me in!

Anill and Logan
Logan is a fundraising superstar who with the support from his dad, Anill, has competed in the Brands Hatch Inflatable 5k twice! He’s always wanted to do something for ‘children who have had it hard’, so he chose to support Save the Children. This year, Logan was joined by his father and brother in the Inflatable Challenge and since beginning his fundraising, he has raised over £660 – an amazing achievement. Anill says:
It would be a privilege to be part of this FUTURE100 program. Obviously, Logan is young, but he has such a huge heart, so this will be something nice for him to develop as a person as well as contributing to a community he’s passionate about.

Avi Mehra
After becoming a father, Avi’s perspective on issues happening around the world shifted. He realised how fortunate he was to live in safety, surrounded by resources and privileges that many can only dream of. So, in 2024, Avi chose to enter the epic London T100 Triathlon comprising of a 750m swim, 20KM bike ride and 5km run – what a challenge! Avi conquered the triathlon and raised an incredible £2,217 for the Children’s Emergency Fund, supporting children and families caught up in devastating crises get the life-saving care they need.

Alex And Liv Midha
Alex and Liv are siblings with an incredible connection to Save the Children. Their late grandmother, Olive, gave decades of her life serving as Chairwoman to one of our brilliant branches in Wales. Olive taught Alex and Liv to value what they’re lucky enough to have, and to always share what they can with people who need it more. As passionate Marathon runners, they joined Team Save at the London Marathon in 2024. Alex then returned for the Berlin Marathon – in the same year! Alex and Liv are now training for the Tokyo Marathon in 2026. They have raised over £10,000 since 2024.
We want to do everything we can to help ensure that all children, regardless of the circumstances they're born into, get the food, education, and medicine they desperately need.

Lucy Currie
Lucy is one of our many amazing charity shop volunteers, but her support for Save the Children doesn’t stop there! Back in July 2024 for her 25th Birthday she ran 25km and then went on to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon in 2025, raising an incredible £1,941 in the process! But she's not done yet… she's decided to take on the London Marathon in 2026, so that'll be 3 consecutive years of fundraising, this time with a fundraising pledge of £2,700!
