I am a global health advocate in the child survival team of the policy and research department of Save the Children. My specialisms are immunisation, newborn, child and maternal health and family planning. I have been with Save the Children since August 2005, and was previously in the media unit where I worked on international emergencies (including the Asian tsunami, South Asia Earthquake, Myanmar cyclone and Typhoon Ketsana) as well as managing media relations for Africa. I originally trained and worked as a journalist and hold an MA in International Politics from the University of Newcastle, the town which I am proud to call home.
