I've just started as Save the Children's Campaign Mobilisation Director, leading our advocacy and popular engagement to save children’s lives. For the past 2 years I was Asia Strategy Director, overseeing programmes for children across a region stretching all the way from Afghanistan to North Korea. Earlier I led a range of programmes and campaigns for Oxfam and the Children’s Society. I started in development work at the grassroots, working with ANC, community organisations and schools in a South African township as a young volunteer, just after Nelson Mandela became President.
