Life Saving Healthcare
Thirteen-year-old Solave* was top of her class with big dreams of becoming a businesswoman. When war erupted on the Gaza Strip, a bomb hit her aunties house. She lost two of her brothers and her right leg.
Solave received healthcare at a newly established hospital staffed by passionate individuals such as paediatric nurse, Becky Platt.
A Safe Space
The Rohingya is one of the most flood-prone parts of Bangladesh. The children here are particularly vulnerable, suffering from high levels of malnutrition whilst living in harsh conditions with little opportunity to be children.
Thirteen-year-old Aleisha* wants to work at a Save the Children Child Friendly Space when she’s older. She wants to help children become educated and happier, like herself.
A Right to Dream
Ghinwa* and her family fled the war in Syria when she was just five-years-old. They settled in a Palestinian camp in Beirut, where life was tough. She worked to help earn money for her family, so she couldn’t start school until age 10.
At age 12, Ghinwa attends an education centre. We’ve helped her gain recognised qualifications and given her hopes of a brighter future.
