Kingsmill

Powering UK families every day

Save the Children and Kingsmill have been working in partnership since 2021 to ensure that all children in the UK get the same bright start in life they deserve – no matter where they’re growing up, or how much money their family has.

To make real and lasting change, we’re tackling the immediate challenges families face, as well as improving the local environments and services that impact children’s early development.

With Kingsmill’s support, we have been able to deliver cash grants to families across the UK with young children, enabling them to provide essentials for their children to help with their learning and wellbeing.

Children's Mental Health

Recognising that good mental health and family support make a big difference to children’s futures, Kingsmill and Save the Children are jointly launching a new social campaign #ToastTalks, aimed at promoting resources to help families have these conversations.

Across the UK, more than four million children are living in poverty. Poverty means children are much more likely to fall behind in their early learning and be impacted by poor mental health. This can have long-term effects on children’s futures.

#ToastTalks

We all want our children to have a sense of safety, a feeling of calm, a feeling of belonging, self-confidence and trust in society, and hope for the future.

Take part in Kingsmill and Save the Children's #ToastTalks.

You can use these tips to have effective conversations with your children about their mental health over something as everyday as a slice of toast.

Please share them with anyone you think could use some support.
