Our partnership with Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC (Hikma Group), the multinational pharmaceutical company, is supporting children around the world to keep safe, healthy and learning, so they can become who they want to be.
Supporting teachers and students in Jordan
Hikma have been funding partners of our innovative programme, Transforming Refugee Education towards Excellence (TREE), since 2020 and have made a $350,000 commitment to support the programme until 2023. Save the Children and the MIT Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL), in partnership with the Jordan Ministry of Education, and with additional funding from Community Jameel and Dubai Cares launched the programme in 2019.
TREE is dramatically contributing towards changing teaching and learning approaches and outcomes in Jordan. TREE focuses on strengthening the national teacher professional development system, supporting teachers’ wellbeing and resilience, so that they can manage their own wellbeing and their students’ wellbeing – and improve learning outcomes in classrooms.
