Helen Fielding

Helen generously donated part of the rights to her first novel to Save the Children and has been a dedicated supporter of our campaigns and events.

Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones novels have sold over 15 million copies and have been published in 40 countries. The two films based on her books have achieved worldwide success.

Before becoming an author, Helen worked for Save the Children and Oxfam in Africa. Her experiences there inspired her first novel, Cause Celeb, from which she donated part of the rights to us.

Since then, Helen has been a loyal supporter of Save the Children, getting behind many of our campaigns and events - from fundraising dinners to our vaccinations campaign.

Most recently, Helen travelled to the banks of the Rio Grande River in Texas to document the US border crisis where increasing numbers of children are fleeing violence and insecurity in Central America and Mexico, and seeking refuge in the United States.
