Save the Children's Christmas Tree Sessions
On Friday 14 December, we held an evening of incredible acoustic and stripped-down live music sessions in the stunning setting of Islington's Union Chapel. Watch the full gig below.
Curated and hosted by BBC 6 Music presenter, Lauren Laverne, this unique event offered an eclectic night of entertainment.
The amazing line-up included headliners Spiritualized, Band of Skulls, Fyfe Dangerfield, and Elbow's Guy Garvey performing a phenomenal duet with Myleene Klass. Kodaline, Josh Kumra, Summer Camp and Bond also joined us.
Best-selling author Caitlin Moran, writer/broadcaster Stuart Maconie, TV presenter Matt Barbet and poet Amy Key did Christmas-themed readings and Lee Nelson brought the house down with his unique stand-up comedy.
And of course, it was all for a good cause – saving children's lives and helping them fulfil their potential.
BOND RELEASE NEW SINGLE FOR SAVE THE CHILDREN
The fabulous electric string quartet, Bond, performed their new single on the night, a version of Wham’s Last Christmas with Misery Bear. All proceeds from the single go towards our life-saving work.
