Fundraising can feel like you're shouting into the void sometimes - asking friends for money, posting on social media, wondering if it actually matters.
It does. Massively.
We want to show you exactly where your energy goes and what it creates. Real stories. Real children. Real change happening because you decided to lace up your trainers or fire up your oven.

Real Fundraiser Stories: Frankie's incredible challenge
In February 2024, 10-year-old Frankie began her incredible challenge to walk 100 miles of the Pennine Way with her family before the end of the school year (Year 5). Frankie chose to fundraise for Save the Children's Gaza Emergency Fund. The Pennine Way is a 268-mile walking trail in the UK that begins in the Peak District and ends at the Scottish borders. Six months and 100 miles later, Frankie crossed the finish line in Bellingham completing her challenge before the start of the new school year on 24th of August 2024. Frankie managed to raise an amazing £1,472 of her £1,000 target.
I chose to walk the Pennine Way because I find nature really important and everyone should be able to do what they enjoy most. Children in Gaza aren't able to do that right now. I hope that one day they can. I don't think it's fair that children in Gaza don't have the same opportunities as I have. I believe that every child has the right to be safe and free.

When you raise money for Save the Children...
Team Save in numbers

Last year, our incredible fundraisers raised £2 million.
But what does £2 million actually mean for children around the world? Let us show you the real impact of your incredible work.
Emergency Response Impact
Heatwave Protection in Mexico - £2 million could provide life-saving heatwave kits for 100,000 children. That's umbrellas, water bottles, sun cream and sun hats reaching every child in a city the size of Cambridge during deadly heat waves.
Mobile Health Clinics in Myanmar - The same amount could fund10 mobile health clinics for three months, bringing doctors and nurses directly to displaced families who have nowhere else to turn. That's basic healthcare reaching remote communities where children might otherwise go without treatment.
Long-term Development Impact
Safe Spaces for Children - Your fundraising can create 20 Child-Friendly Spaces - safe havens where children can play, learn and simply be children again, even in the midst of crisis.
Supporting UK Families - Right here at home, £2 million reaches 4,200 families struggling to put food on the table or keep the lights on.
So what does it mean for me?
Think about it this way: every £20 you fundraise means another child gets protection when disaster strikes. Every challenge you take part it translates directly into more children sleeping safely, learning in school, or receiving the healthcare they desperately need.
Your fundraising isn't just raising money - you're changing lives, one child at a time.
