It has been one year since violent conflict broke out in the capital of Sudan, killing more than 15,000 people.
More than 8.6 million people, including an estimated 4 million children, have been displaced from their homes across Sudan. This makes it the largest child displacement crisis in the world.
Sudan is also facing one of the world's worst hunger crises. 3.7 million children are malnourished, including 730,000 who are severely malnourised. 220,000 children are expected to die in the coming months if their nutritional and hunger needs are not met.
Children in Sudan have lost loved ones and have been subject to unspeakable violence. They’ve seen their homes, hospitals, playgrounds and schools bombed, looted and occupied. They’ve been cut off from the very basics like food, shelter, and healthcare. 14 million children need support to overcome the horrifying impacts of this conflict.
So far in 2024, we have supported close to 400,000 people, but we need your help to scale up our response. Donate to our Emergency Fund today to help children affected by the conflict in Sudan, as well as other crises across the world.
