Help save children like Suleka

It's vital that we act quickly to help children, like Suleka, who is suffering with severe Pneumonia.

Suleka has pneumonia. She is fighting for every breath.

Childhood pneumonia kills more children than any other disease. In 2015, it killed nearly 1 million under-fives – that's more than diarrhoea, malaria and measles combined.

From the moment infection takes hold of a child’s body, the odds are stacked against them surviving.

Please help us to pay for vital supplies, like the antibiotics needed to help save the life of a child with pneumonia. Join us in the fight for breath and donate today.*

We're on the ground saving children

But we need your help to do more.

Our Emergency Nutrition Officers visit children like Suleka at their homes, to provide support they need to help them recover.

She's pictured above with her mother, who watches on helplessly as Suleka struggles to breathe.

Suleka was admitted to the hospital one month before this visit, with severe pneumonia, severe acute malnutrition and severe dehydration.

In most cases, a course of antibiotics is all it takes to cure a child of pneumonia. It's as simple as that.

Will you hepl us to provide children with the help they need to beat this crippling disease? Donate now.*

*All donations to this appeal will be used to help vulnerable children wherever the need is greatest.
