Parliament has voted to continue the cuts to UK aid, which means thousands of children and their families won't be reached by humanitarian assistance, that health centres will close, and that girls will miss out on an education.

Aid: transforming children's futures

A child who goes to school is better equipped to support themselves and their families in years to come.

But a hungry child at school cannot concentrate. A sick child cannot learn.

The systems that surround children help determine their quality of life. If we can improve those systems, we can deliver massive, long-term change for children in the lowest-income countries.

That’s where we can all work together.

We can make sure that the UK government spends its aid budget in areas like health, education and nutrition to make sure that every child is given the chance to thrive.
