Happy Giving Tuesday!

What is Giving Tuesday?
ONE DAY to join 1000’s of other people all doing good for charity

Giving Tuesday is a global giving movement, aimed to encourage people to help others through the gift of donations, time, or their voices. It aims to bring people together through the power of social media and collaboration to celebrate the joy of giving, and giving back.

This year, Giving Tuesday takes place on Tuesday 27th November 2018, and despte the fact that this year's date is yet to take place, the organisation as a whole has already raised $300,000,000 across 150 countries around the world.

What's it all about?

Giving Tuesday was founded in 2012. It was designed to combat the mass comercialisation of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and enable people to give back to something positive as opposed to consumer focused.

Whilst it originated in America, Giving Tuesday has become a global movement with thousands of national and local charities, as well as indviduals and groups taking part to do something good for others. From small donations, to small acts of kindness, Giving Tuesday aims to prove that through the combined actions of many, we can make a big, lasting difference in the world.
